Yes, you can still file a claim even if someone else paid for your trip, as long as you are listed as the insured traveler on the policy and the trip costs were non-refundable. When filing a claim, you may be asked to provide proof of payment or documentation showing the total trip cost and who made the payment.
If the person who paid for the trip is not listed on the policy, the reimbursement will still go to the insured traveler, not the payer.
