Not necessarily. In the event of a medical or political evacuation, you would be transported to the nearest adequate medical facility or safe location as determined by the assistance provider and the attending physician, not automatically back to the United States.
If it’s medically necessary and approved by the assistance team, you may then be transported to the U.S. once you are stable for travel.
