The illness or injury of a family member not traveling with you can be covered under our plans, provided they meet the policy’s definition of a family member and the condition is unexpected/unforeseen.
This typically applies under Trip Cancellation or Trip Interruption benefits, as long as:
- The condition is serious enough to impact your travel plans, and
- It is not a pre-existing condition
