Yes, you can still purchase the insurance even if you booked your airline tickets or tour reservations several months ago. You do not need to buy the policy immediately after booking your trip in order to obtain coverage. Most travel insurance plans allow you to purchase coverage anytime before your departure date.
However, purchasing earlier is generally recommended because some time-sensitive benefits may only be available if the policy is purchased within a certain number of days from your initial trip deposit (typically 1-14 days). These benefits can include:
